Soltys nets pair, Team 8 - Howden defeat Team 5 - Brooks in Overtime

Winnipeg, MB – Alexander Rintoul scored with 4:24 remaining in overtime and Cooper Soltys scored two goals as Team 8 - Howden edged Team 5 - Brooks 8-7 at Hockey For All Centre - Flynn on Saturday.

Capping off the scoring for Team 8 - Howden was Griffin Carels and Maguire Lepp, Hayden Biberdorf, Greyson Urquhart, Bryton Garrick contributing with a goal each. Carels and Anson Salamondyk each added two assists. Goaltender Ethan Radke picked up the win for Team 8 - Howden giving up seven goals.

Sniping for Team 5 - Brooks was Maxon Strydom and Grady Harms and Bo Sabourin with a pair of goals each and Maverick McFarlane with a single tally. Damion Johnson and Alex Delorme each added two assists. Goaltender Nicholas Fontaine surrendered eight goals in the loss for Team 5 - Brooks.

With the win, Team 8 - Howden improve to 2-1-0-0 while Team 5 - Brooks fall to 2-0-0-1.
